Manuka honey, with its high methylglyoxal content, forms the heart of the formulation. It is complemented by propolis, the bees’ natural sealing resin that serves as a protective hygienic layer in the hive. Worker bees collect plant resins and process them with bodily enzymes into a sticky protective substance that lines the entire hive.
