Real olive wood for premium honey

Did you know you shouldn’t portion honey with metal spoons?

Metal can affect the taste of honey and even reduce its quality. Honey is a natural substance made up of various sugars, enzymes and other organic compounds. When metal comes into contact with honey, it can trigger chemical reactions that alter the honey’s flavour and texture.
We therefore recommend the natural alternative: the wooden spoon.

Frequently asked questions

Here you’ll find all the answers to the most important questions about the use and origin of the honey spoon.

What can our Manuka honey do?

Manuka honey has been regarded for millennia as a natural way to support the body's vitality.

Manuka honey is more potent than regular blossom honey due to its MGO content.

Our bedrop Manuka honey has an MGO value of 500+ (for comparison: normal honey has MGO 80). Take 1 teaspoon of bedrop Manuka honey daily, plain, in juice or in tea to support the body over the long term. For sensitive areas, apply a small smear of Manuka honey with the tip of a knife to the affected skin and leave to work.

Certified, genuine Manuka honey from New Zealand in sustainable glass.

Olive wood from a Tunisian family workshop?

Olive wood is cultivated and harvested in many countries around the Mediterranean, including Tunisia. Tunisia has a long tradition of olive wood craftsmanship and is known for high-quality products made from this material. Tunisian olive wood is characterised by its particular hardness, density and grain, making it an ideal material for durable, practical items such as kitchen utensils.

The olive wood comes from old olive trees that are no longer productive, meaning they are no longer used for harvesting olives. This makes Tunisian olive wood a sustainable and environmentally friendly choice.

Our family workshop in Tunisia finishes each spoon by hand — handcrafted one-offs.

The natural herbal extracts contained in the Bee Cream have a cooling, pleasant effect on the skin and provide a refreshing, lightweight sensation.

We recommend applying the Bee Cream several times daily to the affected area and allowing it to absorb well. You can apply the Bee Cream neat or mix it with a body lotion (e.g. bedrop Royale Lotion) and use it diluted.
