Active Ingredients

BEE POISON

Bee venom is a natural secretion of the honey bee with the main component melittin, a peptide. It is traditionally used for joint complaints. In cosmetics, it is used in anti-ageing products.

Bee venom (Apis mellifera venom) is a natural secretion produced by worker bees. It consists of a complex mixture of peptides, enzymes and bioactive substances. The main component, melittin, makes up about 50% of the bee venom and is a peptide consisting of 26 amino acids. Bee venom has traditionally been used for centuries in various cultures, particularly in traditional Chinese medicine and apitherapy, to treat joint complaints. In the modern cosmetics industry, bee venom is used in controlled, safe concentrations in skin care products. The active ingredient is often found in premium formulations such as serums, creams and face masks, especially in products for mature skin. Important note: Bee venom should not be used if you have a known allergy to bee products or insect bites. A tolerance test is recommended for sensitive skin.

Beeswax

Beeswax is a natural product of the honey bee that is produced for honeycomb construction. It is used in cosmetics to provide consistency and can help to protect the skin from moisture loss.

Beeswax is produced by honey bees to build their honeycombs and is obtained by melting and purifying. Cera Alba is the purified and bleached form of beeswax. In cosmetic products, it serves as a consistency agent and forms a light protective film on the skin. The wax is well tolerated and allows the skin to breathe without clogging the pores. It is particularly suitable for the care of dry and stressed skin.

Arnica

Arnica is an extract of yellow mountain flowers that is valued for its soothing effect on the skin. The mountain plant contains natural flavonoids and essential oils. It is used in cosmetics to care for stressed skin.

Arnica (Arnica Montana Flower Extract) is obtained from the bright yellow flowers of the mountain plant Arnica montana, which is native to the high mountains of Europe. The extract contains natural plant substances such as flavonoids and essential oils. Arnica is used in cosmetic products to care for stressed skin. The ingredient can help to keep the skin supple and make it feel pleasant.

Eucalyptus oil

Eucalyptus oil is an essential oil from the leaves of the eucalyptus tree with a refreshing scent. It is used in cosmetics for its characteristic fragrance and can give the skin a cooling sensation.

Eucalyptus oil is obtained by steam distillation from the leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, which originally comes from Australia. The essential oil is known for its fresh, clear scent. In cosmetic products, eucalyptus oil is particularly valued for its refreshing properties. The oil can give the skin a pleasant cooling sensation and provides an invigorating fragrance in skin care products.

Natural intensive care harnessing the power of bee venom

Our XXL Bee Cream combines highly concentrated bee venom with valuable herbal extracts for a noticeably nourishing and cooling experience on the skin. With 0.08g of bee venom per jar, the formulation is particularly concentrated.

Particularly bee venom, also known as apitoxin, is at the centre. The peptide Melittin it contains can support the skin’s microcirculation and produce a revitalising skin sensation. Enriched with beeswax, it creates a rich care base that keeps the skin supple and can help strengthen the natural skin barrier.

In addition, arnica and horse chestnut care for the skin and can contribute to a balanced complexion. comfrey and calendula support natural skin care, while eucalyptus and peppermint provide a pleasantly cooling sensation. Aloe Vera supplies moisture and can soothe the skin.

Freshly made royal jelly is a delicate natural product that should be stored in a cool, dark place. To prevent germs and bacteria from getting into it, you should only remove it with a clean spoon or spatula.

Can you eat Manuka honey?

Yes, Manuka honey tastes just as delicious as "normal" honey and is therefore also suitable for use as a sweetener. In warm milk, (iced) tea or as a spoonful in yoghurt, your morning will be a well-intentioned treat!

What are the areas of application of New Zealand Manuka honey?

Manuka honey has a wide range of applications. As with any other honey, it can be used as a completely \"normal\" Honey spread can be used. It can be used as a sweetener for milk, tea or other drinks. It is important to ensure that the drink is not warmer than 70°C, otherwise the honey loses its effect. In the case of tea, the honey should be stirred in after a brewing time of 5 minutes. Manuka honey can be taken internally for support

How do you store Manuka honey and how long does it keep?

All honey should be stored in a dark place. We have filled our Manuka Honey MGO 400+ in a dark and light-protected jar so that it can protect the honey from light. In addition, the honey should be stored in the dark with the lid closed. Honey must NOT be stored in the refrigerator, as honey can absorb water and become osmotic. This has negative effects such as poor quality and reduced shelf life of the Manuka honey. Manuka honey can crystallize after a time, this speaks for the honey and shows the activity, it can be consumed and used without any concerns. If, on the contrary, the honey becomes very runny after a while, it has absorbed too much moisture and should no longer be consumed. The high sugar content in honey serves as a natural preservative, which means that honey can be kept for many years. However, the honey's active ingredients diminish with the expiry of the best-before date, so it is advisable to consume the honey within the specified best-before date.
