Bee mortality has a significant impact on our ecosystem, as around 80% of wild and cultivated plants are pollinated by bees, which has direct consequences for food production, harvests and animal husbandry; without bees, the ecological balance would collapse and, in the long term, the supply in supermarkets would also be jeopardized, with causes such as monocultures and advancing climate change contributing to the decline in biodiversity of honey bees and wild bees.
