Active Ingredients

Propolis

Propolis is the protective resin of bees with over 300 natural ingredients, including flavonoids and polyphenols. It is valued in cosmetics for its soothing properties and can help to care for sensitive skin and scalp.

Propolis (Propolis Cera/Propolis Extract) is a complex natural product that bees produce from resins of various plants, pollen and beeswax. The rich composition with flavonoids, polyphenols and other bioactive components makes propolis a valued ingredient in natural cosmetics. The ingredient can help to soothe irritations and support the natural balance. Important note: Do not use if you are allergic to bee products. Tolerance test recommended for sensitive skin.

Beeswax

Beeswax is a natural product of the honey bee that is produced for honeycomb construction. It is used in cosmetics to provide consistency and can help to protect the skin from moisture loss.

Beeswax is produced by honey bees to build their honeycombs and is obtained by melting and purifying. Cera Alba is the purified and bleached form of beeswax. In cosmetic products, it serves as a consistency agent and forms a light protective film on the skin. The wax is well tolerated and allows the skin to breathe without clogging the pores. It is particularly suitable for the care of dry and stressed skin.

Lanolin

Lanolin is a natural wax from sheep's wool that is traditionally used in skin care. The ingredient can help to support the skin barrier and bind moisture in the skin.

Lanolin is obtained from sheep's wool and consists of a complex mixture of natural wax esters and fatty acids. As a natural emulsifier, it combines water- and fat-soluble components in cosmetic formulations. In skin care, lanolin supports the binding of moisture and can help to strengthen the skin's natural protective barrier. Its rich texture makes it particularly suitable for dry and stressed areas of skin.

Grape seed oil

Grape seed oil is extracted from the seeds of grapes and contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E. The light oil can help to moisturize the skin without leaving a greasy film.

Grape seed oil (Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil) is obtained by cold pressing or extraction from grape seeds. The oil consists of around 90% unsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic acid, and contains natural vitamin E compounds and oligomeric proanthocyanidins. The light texture of the oil is quickly absorbed by the skin and is suitable for both dry and oily skin types. Important note: Do not use if you have a known allergy to grapes or wine products.

High strength with 35% propolis extract

The protective formula from the beehive

Our Propolis Cream contains 35% high-strength propolis extract combined with natural beeswax for a rich, protective care base.

Propolis, also known as bee glue, is one of the most fascinating natural products from the beehive. Worker bees collect plant resins and process them with their own enzymes into a sticky protective substance that shields the hive from external influences. The polyphenols and flavonoids in propolis make it a particularly valuable ingredient for skincare.

The formula is complemented by beeswax (Cera Alba), which acts as a natural texturiser to keep skin supple and help support the skin’s natural barrier. Grape seed oil provides additional moisture, while lanolin helps the nourishing ingredients absorb into the skin.

For a well-cared-for, soothed and protected skin feel, morning and evening.

Frequently asked questions

Here you’ll find all the answers to the most important questions about the application, effects and ingredients of the Propolis Cream

What is propolis and how does it work?

Propolis is a resin‑like substance whose consistency can change with temperature. At temperatures up to 15°C it is brittle and hard; above that it becomes softer and more malleable, and at around 60°C it turns liquid. Bees mainly use propolis to maintain their hive, while humans can make use of its richness in vitamins and minerals for various needs, for example as supportive care for skin concerns or to support general well‑being.

How much propolis per day?

How much propolis should be taken per day depends on the product used. For this reason, the stated daily dosage should be followed.

Areas of use for propolis

Anyone who is not allergic or intolerant to propolis can use it without issue. It can be applied in many areas. Many people use propolis tinctures, which make propolis easier to use and dose. Treatment and application are individual and vary according to personal needs.
