Gelée Royale and propolis give the HIVE RECOVER After Sun Lotion their distinctive caring properties. Both bee products have been valued for centuries in skincare for their nourishing and protective qualities.
Gelée Royale is the exclusive food of the queen bee and is notable for its exceptionally rich composition. It contains valuable amino acids, vitamins and natural nutrients that can intensely care for the skin and support its natural regeneration. Especially after sun exposure, Gelée Royale helps keep the skin supple. After a long day in the sun we lose a lot of moisture; Gelée Royale can help rebuild and return that moisture to the skin. Soft, supple skin is the focus here.
The formulation is complemented by propolis – a resinous substance produced by honeybees to protect the hive. In skincare, propolis is prized for its soothing and caring properties. It supports the skin barrier and helps the skin look cared for and balanced after external stresses such as sun exposure. From redness to solar allergy, propolis can deploy its regenerative qualities and restore the skin’s comfort.

The HIVE RECOVER After Sun Lotion was developed to give sun-stressed skin an immediately noticeable cool, relaxed and balanced feeling after sun exposure. At the heart of the cooling effect is Menthyl Lactate (a menthol derivative), which provides a gentle refreshing cooling effect without irritating or overloading the skin.
At the same time, selected soothing ingredients support the skin’s regeneration: Aloe Vera is known for its hydrating and skin-calming properties and helps relax sun-stressed skin. Cucumber extract adds extra refreshment and balance and contributes to a pleasantly light skin feel. Panthenol (Provitamin B5) supports skin regeneration, strengthens its resilience and helps reduce irritation. The formulation is rounded out by Ectoin, a highly effective cell- and stress-protection ingredient that helps the skin stabilise after UV-induced stress and regain its natural balance.

After sun exposure the skin loses not only moisture but also part of its natural protective function — this is exactly where the HIVE RECOVER After Sun Lotion comes in. The formulation combines highly effective humectants and barrier-strengthening ingredients to intensely nourish the skin and keep it supple over time.
Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate) locks large amounts of water into the skin, providing deep hydration that effectively counteracts feelings of dryness. Glycerin supports this effect by attracting moisture to the skin and helping to maintain hydration levels. Sodium Lactate, a natural component of the skin’s own moisturising system, further helps to keep the skin soft and elastic.
Nourishing care is provided by rich lipids such as Shea Butter and Almond Oil, which gently condition the skin and help strengthen the lipid barrier.
The result is visibly and noticeably cared-for skin that feels smooth, resilient and long-lastingly hydrated — well beyond the moment in the sun.

Sparkling citrus accents meet the creamy-sweet aroma of ripe peaches, while delicate floral nuances lend a soft, elegant lightness. The composition is rounded off by warm, slightly balsamic and vanilla-soft touches, leaving the skin with a pleasantly groomed, unobtrusive scent experience.
The texture is intentionally light and fast-absorbing, and does not leave a sticky or greasy film on the skin.
