Bee venom in skin care for lipoedema

Lipoedema in medicine
Lipoedema is a chronic disease of the fatty tissue that occurs mainly in women. It is characterized by an uneven distribution of fatty tissue, particularly on the lower extremities such as the thighs, hips and lower legs. Women with lipoedema can suffer from swelling, tenderness, pain and bruising. However, this condition is often misunderstood and confused with obesity, although they are two different conditions.
The exact causes of lipoedema are not yet fully understood, but it is thought that several factors may play a role. Genetic predisposition appears to play an important role, as lipoedema often runs in families. Hormonal influences are also being discussed, as the condition occurs almost exclusively in women and is often associated with hormonal changes such as puberty, pregnancy or menopause, which are referred to as "hormonal flares". It is assumed that certain hormones can influence the growth and proliferation of fat cells in lipoedema.
Progression and appearance
In medicine, lipoedema is divided into different stages, which differ mainly in the appearance of the skin:
-
Stage 1: The skin still appears smooth, but the fatty tissue is already unevenly distributed on the thighs or hips.
-
Stage 2: The skin becomes more uneven, with nodular structures in the fatty tissue and an "orange peel" appearance.
-
Stage 3: The appearance of the skin is significantly altered and loses elasticity.
A medical classification and, if necessary, treatment should always be carried out by a specialist - such as a phlebologist or lymphologist.

Skin care with bee venom
The use of creams containing bee venom, which are massaged into the skin, can help to improve the appearance of the skin.
At bedrop we offer a cream/ointment with high doses of bee venom. The Bee Cream contains the maximum limit of bee venom for cosmetics.
It is very easy to use: apply the Bee Cream to the affected areas as required or as a preventative measure (e.g. before a long day) and massage well into the skin. It is important to massage and stimulate the affected areas to stimulate blood circulation and to work the Bee Cream into the skin. Bee Cream also contains eight different herbal extracts that give the skin a pleasant, cooling sensation. The heavy feeling in the arms and legs can thus be supported.
