The fixed place of your bee first-aid kit
The most important thing about a first-aid kit is its place in the home so that every member of the family knows exactly where to find it in an emergency. Two thirds of all Germans keep their small pharmacy either in the kitchen or in the bathroom, but it should be noted that these rooms are not suitable for this, the necessary products should always be stored in a cool, dry and partly dark place, such as a storeroom, a hallway or in the bedroom. The natural products and dressings should be stored in a lockable cupboard or small case. Many households make the mistake of putting a box of products in the top shelf of a cupboard, but young children are keen to climb and above all curious, so locking the box and not the top shelf helps.
The contents of your (natural) medicine cabinet
So that you are well armed and prepared in the event of an emergency or acute complaints, the following products should always be in your first-aid kit. You should bear this in mind:

Remedies for complaints-
Propolis:
The use of propolis can help with various ailments. In naturopathy, propolis is said to have disinfectant, antibacterial, antiviral and antibiotic properties. Propolis tinctures can therefore be used to help disinfect unexpected burns and injuries before bandaging. The ethanol content(propolis tincture 20%) kills bacteria and infections, thus serving as a skin and wound disinfectant. Propolis tincture can also be used as a wound and healing ointment by adding it to a skin cream. In case of allergic reactions, the propolis tincture 10% alcohol-free or the propolis mouth spray can be applied directly to the skin.
Propolis capsules, on the other hand, can be taken during cold seasons. -
Manuka honey:
Honey has been used for thousands of years to help with injuries, burns and also in cold seasons for various needs. You can keep it in your pharmacy cupboard as a natural home remedy so that it is always to hand in an emergency.

Tidiness is the be-all and end-all in a household and this is especially true for the medicine cabinet. You should always keep it tidy so that you don't have a mess and can access propolis, manuka honey or bandages in an urgent emergency for injuries or flu symptoms. The best-before date (BBD) is very important for many medicines. Propolis, royal jelly and Manuka honey have a best-before date of two years. For this reason, we offer smaller quantities in our bedrop store, which can be used up quickly so that your propolis and manuka honey is always fresh and has a long shelf life.
Important: If you use royal jelly fresh, you must store it in the refrigerator with other medicines and cooling products such as cooling pads. Make sure that you sort your medicine cabinet according to a system and that there are no empty packaging and package inserts floating around. We recommend re-sorting your bee products and medicine cabinet at least once a year, if not every six months, and paying attention to the date of the products (noting the date of opened products is usually helpful!). It is best to create a checklist that is worked through.
