What are capsules?

Capsules are a solid dosage form containing a specific dose for delivery. The shape, size and consistency of the capsules can vary depending on the type. The shell is the capsule in which the various substances are filled and sealed. The capsules are easy to swallow and in most forms are taken peorally with liquid, depending on the recommended daily intake. The contents of the capsules can be liquid, pasty, solid or in powder form. It is important that the active ingredients do not attack the capsule wall and leave it solid. The capsules are divided into the following capsule types:

• Soft capsules:
  Soft capsules are also known as soft gel capsules and have a light, gel-like consistency. The contents of these capsules can vary from semi-solid, liquid, pasty and powdery substances. The outer shell is made from water and gelatine (animal or vegetable). The elasticity of the shell is made possible by the addition of 25% gylcerol, propylene glycol or sorbitol. The soft capsules are formed, filled and then sealed in a single step during production. The capsule shell is slightly thicker than that of the hard capsules and cannot be opened.
• Hard capsules:
  In contrast to soft capsules, hard capsules are hard and not elastic. They are individually dosed in the capsule. The shell is made from gelatine (animal or vegetable) and does not contain any plasticizers. The hard capsules cannot be split due to their consistency. Dyes can be used to color the capsules to protect the contents from light and UV rays. They consist of two prefabricated parts (cap & body) and are sealed together. The contents can consist of solid substances.

Royal jelly capsules

Royal jelly is the food for the most important bee of bees or bee colonies: the queen bee. The name royal jelly (also: royal jelly) comes from the English and can be translated as"royal jelly". The nutrients and vitamin B in royal jelly are very high due to the composition of the ingredients and is therefore considered a "bee superfood". The worker bees collect the pollen and mix it with honey in their mouths. By chewing the pollen and honey, the bees can release these special enzymes which contribute to the high content of nutrients, proteins, amino acids, vitamin B and others. As with propolis, royal jelly can be of great benefit not only to bees but also to humans. It can strengthen well-being and be used for everyday needs.

The composition of royal jelly capsules

The royal jelly capsules contain freeze-dried organic royal jelly(lyophilized). The lyophilization process is used to gently dry the royal jelly, which must be kept cool, so that the substances it contains do not evaporate. The shell of the capsules is of vegetable origin (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) and therefore vegetarian.
