5 tips for the right skin care in winter
Cold, heating air and hardly any vitamin D from the sun can all affect skin health and moisture. The need for skincare increases with the cold and the associated drop in temperature. In winter, there is a loss of moisture, which we can solve with the right care. In addition to the right skin care, the right diet also plays a major role. Plenty of fruit and vegetables are essential. To help you struggle less with your skin in the cold season, I would like to share my tips and tricks for winter with you today.
Tip 1: Cracked and chapped lips
Dead and dry skin can lead to cracked and chapped lips. There are few sebaceous glands around the mouth and lips, which is why we need to pay more attention and moisturize this area, especially in autumn and winter. Natural fructose and fats can work wonders here, so my favorite trick is: Manuka honey! You can simply apply the honey to your lips with a wooden spatula or plastic spoon and massage it in well. Work the nutrients in the manuka honey into your lips in circular movements to moisturize and soften your lips.
Tip 2: red Rudolf reindeer nose
Especially when the temperatures drop, I struggle with a red nose. The cold makes our body work harder, which increases the blood supply. The thin layer of fat on our nose protrudes from our body and is supplied with a lot of blood. The color of blood is red, which is why we get red noses in winter. To support your nose with warmth from the outside, I recommend applying a small dab of Bee Cream. This not only has a warming effect in the cold season, but also prevents the outer skin of the nose from drying out. With a cold and a runny nose, we are forced to wipe our nose more often than ever, which leads to the skin layer drying out. Bee Cream contains bee venom, beeswax and aloe vera, allowing you to preventively moisturize the skin with a small dab.
Tip 3: Dry nostrils
Cold temperatures and heating air can promote a dry or runny nose with a cold. As I mentioned above, frequent nose blowing dries out our nasal skin quickly, especially when we have a cold. My helper for rough, chapped and sensitive nostrils is Propolis Cream. The high-dose Propolis Cream contains propolis extract 35% and grape seed oil based on beeswax. The cream not only has an antibacterial effect, but also moisturizes and nourishes. Dab a small amount onto the dry areas of the nose and massage the propolis cream in well. The nasal skin is now under natural care and protection.
Tip 4: Cracked and chapped hands
As you now know, our body boosts the blood supply when it is cold and our metabolism is also boosted when it is cold. Our body wants to produce heat. This draws heat away from the hands and feet (this is one of the reasons why we should always keep our hands and feet warm, especially in fall and winter), which also causes the hands to dry out. It is therefore important not only to keep your hands warm with gloves, but also to apply cream, especially after washing or disinfecting them. The cold often results in cracked and chapped skin. I recommend two bee helpers: Propolis Cream for chapped and cracked areas and Royale Lotion for additional moisturizing of the whole hand. Both products contain propolis and beeswax and can support skin regeneration. Royale Lotion also contains shea butter and royal jelly, which is responsible for boosting moisture.
Tip 5: Natural care for dry winter skin
I struggle with extremely dry skin all over my body in winter. Rich and moisturizing care is very important, especially in the cold season. After bathing/showering, our skin needs a nourishing and easily absorbed winter care product. As a neurodermatitis sufferer, I have struggled with many body lotions due to the ingredients and fragrances they contain. My mission over the last few months has therefore been to provide natural skin care for dry and sensitive skin. After a long time, the solution came: the Royale Lotion.
This product is not a conventional body lotion, it is a body lotion with bee superfoods! From the name you can hear the royal from the high-dose royal jelly, which meets propolis and acacia honey. The body lotion was developed on the basis of beeswax and shea butter. Each natural ingredient is super nourishing for our bodies:
- Royal jelly: moisturizing, skin-firming, skin-soothing, contains vitamin B, proteins, fats and high water content
- Shea butter: moisturizing, soothes itching, soothes the skin, contains vitamin E, omega 3, oleic acids and beta carotene
- Propolis: antibacterial, disinfectant, anti-itching, protective, contains vitamins E, A and H, and amino acids
- Acacia honey: antibacterial, skin-caring, skin-soothing, vitamin C, vitamin B, sugar and essential minerals
- Beeswax: antibacterial, skin-caring, vitamin A, beta carotene and essential minerals
These natural ingredients provide natural skin care for the winter, especially for dry and sensitive skin. The Royale Lotion is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving a greasy film. After application, the skin is soft and sufficiently moisturized. Concentrated bee power meets shea butter, a highly valued natural product for skin care.
With the skin care set, you are perfectly prepared for the skin's needs in winter and can protect and care for the skin not only for acute needs, but also as a preventative measure.
