Monoculture

Monocultures consist of just one crop. This crop is grown for years on the same area of land. For the bees, there is only one food supply, which leads to a poor winter supply for the bees, as pollen diversity is an important aspect for honey bees and wild bees.

These monocultures are one of the reasons for the existing bee mortality.
