Propolis for neurodermatitis and eczema | Customer feedback & experience report
The areas of application for propolis are very diverse. Propolis can be used to support the immune system, disinfect skin areas or treat skin complaints.
A customer of bedrop did the latter, to "treat" her neurodermatitis, she bought and used our bedrop 30% propolis tincture .
Overview of dermatitis (neurodermatitis / eczema)
In medicine, dermatitis is the generic term for chronic skin diseases and includes neurodermatitis or atopic eczema. The symptoms of dermatitis include chronic, inflammatory itching or redness. The skin also tends to become dry and brittle in the respective areas. Pustules or nodules can form on the skin and also lead to a coarsening of the skin(lichenification).
In many babies, this already occurs in the form of reddish skin (on the cheeks) or possible crust formation. With advancing age, atopic dermatitis or eczema on the neck, hands or joint bends (e.g. wrist) can increase. The skin tends to become thicker and coarser, it "peels" and crusts form in these areas.
The itching increases with age and lasts throughout the day. In addition to poor skin appearance, the effects of these skin conditions can lead to poor sleep and resulting concentration problems during the day.
The outbreaks of inflammation are referred to as "flare-ups". These flare-ups are caused by various influences:
- too much moisture on the skin
- psychosomatic triggers (e.g. strain, stress)
- allergens absorbed through the skin (e.g. pollen, animal hair, house dust mites) or through consumption (e.g. dairy products, nuts)
- irritating and intolerable substances on the skin
- various environmental toxins (e.g. tobacco, exhaust fumes or ozone)
It is often an interplay of various factors, especially psychosomatic ones. Preventive treatment of neurodermatitis is usually not possible, as the skin disease is only recognized and treated (usually with cream or ointment) after the outbreak of flare-ups. Many sufferers try to get the inflammation under control with various creams, ointments from the doctor or therapy, but this is often unsuccessful for a long-term solution. The eczema or neurodermatitis is merely "suppressed". It is important to cleanse the body from the inside, i.e. to pay attention to the right diet (if there are known allergies), to avoid too much moisture and also too much stress.
Propolis for neurodermatitis
Sandra H. has suffered from atopic dermatitis / neurodermatitis since childhood and has struggled with it ever since. She noticed that her neurodermatitis increased massively, especially on stressful days, and at some point all the cortisone creams and ointments no longer helped. After a lot of research, she came across the supportive treatment of neurodermatitis with propolis on our website. Thanks to our customer support, we were able to inform her about the intake and recommended dosage. It is important to strengthen the immune system from the inside, to cleanse it and at the same time to include the external application.
We recommended the propolis capsules to Sandra H. for oral intake (supporting the body from the inside) and the 30% propolis tincture for external application to the affected skin areas.
After she received the order, she got straight to work and captured her before picture of her hand with this photo.
Her daily treatment was relatively uncomplicated and was as follows:
1x daily take a propolis capsule with plenty of water.
3x daily treat the neurodermatitis house spots with the propolis tincture.
She made it a little easier for herself and mixed the 30% propolis tincture generously into her zinc cream (natural cosmetics) so that she could apply the zinc-propolis cream directly to the respective areas.
Sandra H. noticed a massive improvement in her hand after just 2 days. She took the following photo to record this:
"This encouraged me more and more and I was stunned how quickly I was able to solve my problem with neurodermatitis, the solution was in nature and not in all the cortisone ointments" (Sandra H.)
We received the last picture after about a week, the hand was completely healed, as if she had never had neurodermatitis. She gave us her consent to share her personal experience. Together we would like to give several people affected the opportunity to get neurodermatitis / eczema under control with propolis.
Hand after one week of treatment with propolis:
We would like to thank Sarah H. for her great feedback and are pleased to have helped her with her long-term problem.
At this point we would like to mention that we refrain from making promises and healing claims with propolis.
