Bee venom is the bees' most valuable commodity. This precious bee product is used as a natural support for both skin and physical needs.
What is propolis?
Alongside honey, pollen and royal jelly, propolis is one of the most important substances for bees. The worker bees collect the substance, which consists mainly of resin and wax, and bring it to their hive. The hive bees take the propolis from the worker bees and use it to insulate the hive, cement cracks and lay the propolis as a kind of doormat at the entrance to the hive. To keep the hive clean and sterile and thus keep other insects and bacteria away from it, the bees not only narrow the flight holes with the propolis, they cement the entire hive with it. Only the bees can walk over the propolis with their sensitive legs without any problems, all other insects would get stuck in the sticky substance. So the bees not only use the propolis against foreign intruders, but above all it serves as protection for the hive and the bee colony.
Propolis honey soap
Propolis is the putty resin used by bees to disinfect their hive. The returning bees walk over the "propolis carpet" and thus leave the bacteria and pests outside the hive. propolis contains many different natural products such as resins and pollen from many different plants. Many nutrients and minerals can be found in propolis, which has a high polyphenol and flavonoid content. Polyphenols and flavonoids are antioxidants that fight free radicals in our body and can therefore care for and protect the skin. Lavender honey from Provence is known for its quality and natural sweetness. However, lavender honey also contains a high level of antioxidants, which naturally combat free radicals and thus have a negative effect on our skin.
Bee venom ointment with high-dose bee venom
Half of the bee venom consists of the substance melittin, which is responsible for the effect of bee venom alongside the various amino acids. According to studies, this is a water-soluble, antimicrobial peptide and is used for muscles and joints, skin care (e.g. blemishes, scars), swelling and redness. It is also used in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) to support the symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatism.
In the British royal family, bee venom is used to reduce wrinkles and tighten the skin.
What our customers say
Founder by conviction
Bee products have been with me since I was a child. Every morning I was allowed to take a teaspoon of pollen and propolis to boost my well-being. Years later, I used propolis for my neurodermatitis and knew that my fellow sufferers would notice. Even today, I no longer have any flare-ups and have been able to give thousands of people quality of life.
We know our bees
Our passionate beekeepers treat the bees with care. They provide the small farm animals with the necessary resources. To ensure that the beekeepers receive high-quality bee products, the bees are fed with natural products and feed solutions. Our beekeepers refrain from using pesticides & antibiotics and other veterinary drug residues.
The pure air of the idyllic rural regions is reflected in the bees' products. We have packed this purity into our products, pure propolis tinctures whose quality you can literally taste.

The sustainability of our products is a very important issue for us. Bedrop is committed to a plastic-free and sustainable packaging world.
